A beautifully preserved Jurassic ammonite with an unusually rare nacreous layer

80% of the ammonite's surface is covered with nacre formed millions of years ago. Large ammonites (more than 15 cm in diameter) are rarely found, large ammonites in excellent condition are even rarer.

Both sides of the ammonite are perfectly preserved, including the edges (usually they are obliterated).  30-day private underwater expedition in 2018, close to Madagascar. No human intervention or restoration were made.
